Dear Friends in Christ,
May God bless you!
The theme for this year’s Catholic Services Appeal is “We are called…” which is the invitation from the prophet Micah in sacred scripture. At a time when our communities are facing public health and social justice challenges, we reflect on our Christian invitation to be called to justice, goodness, and walking humbly with our God.
The Catholic Services Appeal provides an opportunity to respond to our call as Catholics to contribute to the needs of the poor and the many good works of over 100 ministries and programs throughout our Archdiocese. The Appeal allows us to support our 110 parishes, our schools, our priests, deacons, and lay ministers, and our seminarians as they continue their formation. In this climate of uncertainty, may we cultivate hope instead of fear and embrace an opportunity to truly purify our priorities.
I invite you to act on your call to justice and goodness by making a gift to the Catholic Services Appeal.
Sincerely yours in our Lord,
Most Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D.
Archbishop of Louisville
